Vinci Trophy
The 1st Disc Golf Italia Open
2009 was hailed as a triumphant success by
all who attended. It was the first time ever a European Disc
Golf competition had the privilege of being held on a
professional golf course.
 We have the great pleasure again of holding our event at the
beautiful panoramic and characteristically charming
Golf Club Montecatini.
This year we will play 3 full days, one round per day, to
enable as many players as possible to join the event.
We look
forward to welcoming you and making your experience in
Tuscany an enjoyable one.
This promises once again to be the
“best Disc Golf tournament in Europe.”

Ville Piippo
wins first trophy
|
With the best round of the tournament (48) and a hole-in-one
on hole 17 (up-side-down!), Ville Piippo from Finland grabbed
the lead and was the first player who then could receive the beautifull "Leonardo da Vinci Trophy"
out of the hand of Golf Club President Cesare Dami at the prize ceremony.
Jussi Meresmaa (Finland) ended 2nd, Sylvain
Gouge (France) 3rd and Simon Lizotte (Germany) 4th.
