Getting to Tuscany
by plane
Tuscany has two international airports, the Galileo Galilei
International Airport in Pisa and Amerigo Vespucci Airport, also
known as Peretola, in Florence. Located only 80 km apart, the Pisa
airport is the larger of the two airports.... Both airports handle
flights to major European cities. Pisa handles the bulk of European
scheduled flights so it might be easier to find flights into Pisa
(Ryan air as an example).
We suggest that players arriving in Pisa take the train directly to
Pistoia. The train station is within the Pisa Airport. We can
provide shuttle service from the train station to the hotel. For
players arriving at the Florence Airport we will need to arrange a
taxi or shuttle service at an additional charge.
Car Rentals
If you need a rental car while here in Italy, we will arrange for
you to book the cars through a local agency "Maggiore"
auto rentals, so that you pay local rates which are cheaper than
renting from abroad.
